The sun was just beginning to dip beneath the horizon, and thankfully it took most of the heat of the day with it. It was much cooler now, and Briarleaf made a small purr of satisfaction. The rest of the clan was stirring, which wasn't unusual. They were called ShadowClan for a reason. When green-leaf was at it's worst most of ShadowClan turned to the nocturnal side of their nature, many feeling more at home in the welcoming cloak of darkness. Shaking her pelt, Briarleaf looked to the fresh-kill pile, which was decently stocked. Picking out a frog, she padded to the side, eating quickly.
She had already checked the elders, and left Thistlepaw to deal with them. No one was hurt, and the queens were doing well. Speaking of... Briarleaf tilted her head to the side. She hadn't seen Ravenheart out of the nursery much since her kits were born two moons previously. Furrowing her brow she gulped down the rest of the frog and buried it's remains. Stretching she made a bound towards the nursery. Peeking inside she saw Ashcloud asleep, as well as the kits. Squinting her eyes, she looked at Ravenheart's dark pelt. Not wanting to wake the others, she squeezed in carefully, laying her paw on Ravenheart's side gently trying to rouse her. "Come with me." she whispered in the queen's ear.
Backing out of the den, Briarleaf sat down. She needed a good walk to liven up her bones, and she might as well have some company. Besides, Ravenheart needed to get out more. The kit's would be fine for a while yet, and even if they did awaken Ashcloud could watch them for a few moments. Tilting her head back to see the night sky creep forward, silverpelt shining the medicine cat smiled. Though StarClan were silent lately, she was glad the clan was well off. Of course, she also suspected that would last for long. Peace never seemed to last long, there was always someone or something ready to pounce.

Ravenheart The world was bright and cheerful, everything much more vivid than she was used to. The dark pine trees were full of brightly colored birds, all singing and flying about. There were toads and frogs of all sorts of colors, some even looked like flowers! The wind was soft, and carried a soft coolness that foretold of rain, reminding Ravenheart that she would need to get back to camp and clean out the elders den soon, or they would have to go without clean moss until the ground dried...
A tiny mew came out of no where, causing Ravenheart's head to jerk up. Her eyes ran over the land around her, searching for the kit she knew was there. She could smell the milk. Mew, it sounded so close, and yet there was no way it could be. She was in the marsh, the fur of her belly barely clearing the mud. If there was a kit out here... Ravenheart's heart skipped a beat as she remembered she had kits! She wasn't an apprentice out to find fresh moss! She had crept out of camp while her kits were sleeping, hoping too hunt! Had one of her kits followed her!
She began calling for the kit, searching through the mud like a wild cat. She didn't recognize it's voice, but she could barely remember how she sounded half the time. In just a few heartbeats she was completely covered in mud, feeling as though she was going to smoother. How was she supposed to... Ouch. Something poked her.
'Come with me.' echoed through her mind. At first she thought it was a voice of Starclan, but remembered that only medicine cats and leaders had dreams from their warrior ancestry. Either which way, this was a dream. It had to be. A dream that foretold not rain, but a rainy mood.
Opening her eyes, Ravenheart caught a glimpse of Briarleaf leaving the den. Had the medicine cat meant for her to follow? Or one of the other queens? No one else seemed to be waking up, so it must have been her. What could Briarleaf need her for? Her eyes widened as the dream flashed back and she began searching her kits. Nightkit... Coalkit... Crowkit... They were all here. Sleeping like they should be. All seemed fine.
Sighing with relief, Ravenheart got to her paws, kissing each kit before leaving the nursery. "Evening, Briarleaf." She dipped her head respectfully. "Do you need something?"
Note: Kind of winded...
