[classy=infotop]personality[/classy][classy=infobottom]``social much like her sister, lightpelt, palestep can be very social. she loves to hang out with other cats, go hunting, have friends in other clans. she just loves others. however, unlike her sister, palestep is a calm and quiet feline. she doesn't have that much personality energy like lightpelt and she is more then happy to sit and let other cats talk to her. she will answer when she has something to say, but a lot of times she doesn't. anyway, she likes to sit in just about any group and throw in her thoughts and agreements when she deems necessary. ``calm like i said above, palestep is a very calm cat. while she can be excited and even happy hyper once in awhile, she doesn't quite get overexcited. she is even happy to just sit and lay in the sun or swim in the river by herself when there is nothing else to do and she wants some alone time. while she is an extrovert she also has introvert feelings. ``wise when someone needs help or is having a rough day, palestep is more than happy to give a little advice. if someone needs to let off some steam, palestep is more than happy to just sit and listen. if there is a crisis going on somewhere around the camp, palestep knows to either help out or stay back. because of her thoughts, palestep can be very wise for her young age. instead of rushing into things, she thinks about them and makes sure its safe to follow up. ``gentle palestep is a very gentle she-cat. she cares for just about everyone she meets and has this thing against judging. she can come up with words that you just can't get out of your head that speaks to the most painful part about you, but in a gentle way. she can have the most gentle touch, especially when it comes to kits and elders. ``encouraging if your feeling down in the dumps or think that you failed the hunting technique miserably, then palestep will be by your side telling you the complete opposite. she is very encouraging and is not afraid to express it. her encouragements are always truthful and from the heart and she loves to make other cats smile. no matter what the situation, whenever an encouragement comes to her mind, she is happy to say it out loud. ``beautiful you won't find a cleaner cat then palestep. she can be found cleaning herself much of the time she is alone and taking care of her figure. she only eats when she is hungry and stops eating when she is no longer. she tends to give last bites to cats who want them. she keeps herself fit, by practicing her battle moves in the evening and hunting in the afternoon. but don't mistake her taking care of herself for obsessing over it. she can get dirty. she can get scars. and she can miss a hunting trip or training session once in a while. she's not going to get upset or overwhelmed. she just likes to feel clean and ready. ``ferocious once again she carries a trait very similar to her sister, but not quite. while in battle palestep can be a very furious fighter. she's not afraid to get scratches nor is she afraid to scratch others. if someone is against her clan she will stop at nothing to get them in line. except maybe short of death. palestep is not a killer. unlike her sister, palestep is not impulsive and thinks about her actions before striking her foe. she doesn't like to just jump in. which can also get her into trouble because of too much thinking. she thinks too much about something she might get herself stuck. ``thinker palestep thinks a lot. she will think about anything that crosses her path and put it together like a puzzle if she could. everything around her is not what it seems. she could have completely different opinions about things that others find so simple and so straight forward. not her. everything is just another piece of the puzzle that she is so desperately trying to put together. this can make her unsure of herself at times because of how different she knows her thoughts are to others. she will completely keep these thoughts to herself. ``loyal when i mean loyal, i mean good. palestep doesn't bend the rules very much. she is happy to sit inside the circle and hope that everything goes according to plan. she has expectations that she thinks needs to be met and can sometimes go crazy when they aren't. she is afraid to go against the rules and doesn't like to get into trouble at all. she can be uptight about these kinds of things. ``distrust althought palestep seems social with all the cats around her, she is very wary of them. unlike her sister she does not love hard. she watches everyone around her and tries desperately not to get herself into a situation where she could become hurt. this is her greatest fear. she doesn't mind physical pain so much as she does emotional pain. she keeps a watchful eye on each tom in her clan. if they become interested in her, she will play it very tightly until she knows that she is safe. this of course can become a problem also with the cats that she is closest too. even her sister and friends. ``self-esteem she is not the only cat who struggles with this, but palestep has issues with her own self-esteem, which can effect her relationships. she tries her very best not to let it get in the way and so can seem confident in herself and open to talk about herself. but since she is the encourager, she sometimes wonders if she herself does a good job, or said the right thing. she often doubts herself and then has a problem with dwelling on the fact. when other cats get angry or talk to her with sarcasm, she will take what happens to heart and that is part of the reason she puts herself a distance from those who want to be close to her. ``emotions palestep has the tendency to bottle up her emotions and wait until the bottle is too full to carry anymore before she deals with it. this can cause her to become so overwhelmed that she blows up on those she loves and during things she's doing. it can also cause her to become depressed at times and even downright violent. not so much so that she would kill someone. but she may shove someone who is bothering her, or throw something at them. [/classy] [classy=infotop]history[/classy][classy=infobottom]born to two riverclan warriors, palekit and lightkit grew up like ying and yang twins. they were completely different. palekit was a very light cream color with warm brown eyes, while her sister lightkit was a brighter orange color with green eyes. much like summer and winter. althought there was a sibling love for eachother, palekit and lightkit soon found that they weren't much alike and so mutually went semi-separate ways. at the age of five moons old palekit began to play with another kit her age. his name was otterkit. otterkit was very much likable to palekit and she ended up playing with him and his brother cranekit much of the time in the nursery. when they became apprentices they still spent most of their free time together, while she trained a long side her sister. half-way through her training otterpaw began to start teasing palepaw strangely. she wasn't sure why and she knew that she didn't like it. however, since she did not understand it, she did not confront him about it. as they got older, otterpaw's teasing got worse and worse. it started to push palepaw away from him to other apprentices around her. she didn't mean to ignore him or make him feel unwanted. she just wasn't entirely sure how to tell him to stop teasing her without making him angry at her. he of course took this the wrong way and started to completely ignore her. whenever she was around, he would get up and walk away, even if he was in the middle of a sentence. he wouldn't even look at her. seeing as he used to be her best friend, this hurt palepaw too much to bare. this was the first time she took something that happened to her and bottled it up inside herself to keep herself from hurting too much. she completely forgot about otterpaw for awhile, but he just came back up again, especially since she had resorted to hanging out with cranepaw instead. finally she had to confront him about the whole thing because, she knew that it was hurting her more and more. so she tried to speak with him about the whole issue. being about 9 moons old about this time, they were both almost warriors. the way otterpaw reacted was not the way that palepaw had expected. otterpaw confessed his love for her and that that was the reason why he had been teasing her. not because he hated her or anything like that. palepaw suddenly felt like someone really cared for her, so she fell for his charms instantly. it wasn't long before everyone started talking about their behavior towards each other changing. she stopped hanging out with cranepaw so much and started to follow otterpaw around almost obsessively. he made her feel like she mattered and he made her feel like she was worth something. her happiness was soon shattered into a million pieces. finally they became warriors and palestep was happy to oblige to otterpelt if he asked her to become his mate. she was even ready for the question. she even thought about what she was going to reply when he did. over and over within her head. but once he became a warrior otterpelt started to again ignore her. this time it was as if he didn't recognize her. he would talk to her just like any other cat in the clan, but he would not socialize with her. she soon found out why. on one of her hunting sessions with her sister, she found otterpelt's scent close to the gorge. she also found another scent right beside his. this was another female cat from riverclan. one that was a few moons older then otterpelt and palestep. she had become a warrior the same moon that they had become apprentices. and when she saw them together, she became completely heart broken. no one was by her side during her break down. no one knew how. besides, she didn't tell anyone why she was so sad in the first place. cranewing was the only cat who came to her rescue and was there for her even though she wouldn't tell him what had happened. cranewing gave her the ability to forget his brother otterpelt. even she capped the bottle that held her emotions and allowed this experience to teach her to become more aware of others and to keep them at a slight distance so they wouldn't hurt her again.[/classy]
