There's lean muscle coiled into his small form that makes him as much a warrior as anyone else but there's a gentility about Wingfeather that sets him apart from is fellow warriors. A quiet soul, he isn't the type to step on toes and often will concede and argument and just say he's wrong long before he'll fight his point. Easily overpowered and overshadowed by those with far more potent personas than his own, Wingfeather tends to shrink back into the background and just watch or let things be done around him or to him without putting up a fight. He'll never say no to an assignment or shirk his duties because he doesn't want to burden or bother others. The funny thing is though, Wingfeather isn't resigned to his fate the way some cats may seem. He doesn't sigh and do what he has to simply because he has to. Wingfeather does what needs done because he can do it. [/style]Ever a quiet soul, it's not unusual to find Wingfeather watching the clouds float by or find him laying in a field of blooming heather just trying to find a bit of peace. Because of the quiet exterior they see, not many cats bother much with Wingfeather. Once you get to know him however, you'll discover a cat brimming with curiosity that has a streak of humor and sarcasm that can take you quite by surprise. There's a gentle wit to him and a love of play that may shock you if you don't know him well. The thing is though, Wingfeather is shy and thus seldom gets comfortable enough to be himself around others. Instead he clams up, pulls his head back into his shell and hides behind the quiet facade of a cat that will never say no. It takes work to find the fun in Wingfeather but thus far, the cats that have found it haven't been disappointed. [style=font-family:arial; font-size:16px; color:#f2e5cd; background-color:#80545a; opacity:0.80; padding:3px; text-align:right;]history Unsurprisingly, Wingkit was the runt of his litter. Born into WindClan to Ilexfrost and Falconbelly, everyone expected great things from their kits. Ilexfrost was known for her beauty and Falconbelly for his jovial nature and fantastic hunting skills. Together, they ushered into life four kits. First came their son Stonekit followed by their daughters Streamkit and Brightkit. Last but not least was little Wingkit. To say the least, the nursery was busy once Ilexfrost and Falconbelly's children got to running around. Stonekit soon established himself as 'the leader of the pack' with Streamkit being his second in command. Brightkit followed along with their antics willingly enough but Wingkit never liked the rough sort of play his siblings so enjoyed. He preferred lingering around the elders or medicine cat but would often end up bullied into going along with his siblings, only to wind up in trouble when blame fell on him for a prank gone wrong. One cat in particular took notice of Wingkit's quiet nature, namely Lynxchaser, the deputy. When it came time for Wingkit to pass into apprenticeship, he was taken under the wing of the newly named Lynxstar. [/style]Unfortunately...this didn't save Wingpaw from being wrangled and often manhandled by his brother. Stonepaw never intended malice toward Wingpaw and because Wingpaw knows that, Wingpaw never minded. Wingpaw understood that his brother sometimes just...forgot how much bigger he was than Wingpaw and get a little overexcited about things. For the most part though, Wingpaw managed the perils of apprenticeship fairly well. He proved himself to be an excellent bird hunter because he had the patience and stealth to hunt the birds and wait them out. Lynxstar always seemed to have a quiet sort of pride reserved for Wingpaw when the pointed tom accomplished something new, although he knew Wingpaw well enough to know his pride would melt into embarrassment the second Lynxstar praised him exuberantly. Only about two moons ago did Wingpaw earn his warrior name of Wingfeather, surprisingly the first of his siblings to earn his warrior name although his siblings weren't terribly far behind. |
