Greystream stood in the middle of her den, as the sick and the wounded slept. She took a deep breath, and turned to her bed before lying in it. Her once kept fur started to knot at the ends and her face showed signs of lack of sleep. She started to work at her fur, pulling at the knots with her teeth as the moon raised into the night. By the time she was done the moon was high in the sky, her tail twitch as she looked around her moonlit den. Her eye lids started to become heavy and her eyes closed sending her into a deep sleep.
Soon Greystream was teleported to the river. She looked around and saw Shadestar, with a big smile stuck on her face. Her ears twitch and walked over to her as they looked on into the river. Greystream felt calm next to Shadestar, it looked like the same day she taught her about the river and how it was nothing to be scared of. She looked into the river, and smiled as they walked into the river and caught fish. She looked at the water, making a swift kill to a fish swimming down stream. Her proud smile turned to a frown as she noticed the water around her was now bloody.
She looked up to Shadestar to see her beautiful black coat had been matted with blood and the water was washing it away. Her heart leaped from her chest, it looked like Shadestar had twisted smile on her face. Her ears fell as the sky turned a blood red, whimpering now she tried to run. But the sound of Shadestars dying gasp echoed through out the forest. Before long Shadestar teleported in front of her with the twisted smile running across her face. She looked up and watched as the sky started moving at a fast pace like a river of blood and the gasp got louder before looking back at Shadestar. Her twisted grin had gone and she started giggling before she open her eyes. Greystream was stuck looking to black pits and not Shadestars beautiful amber eyes.
Greystream woke up with a gasp as her claws forced into the ground and tears streaming from her eyes. Quickly digging out her claws she got up from her bed. The tears streaming down her checks.
She had no idea why her mind played this game with her. She was already blaming the death of her leader on her self. Why couldn’t her mind lay Shadestar to rest, she was a great friend. She got to her paws and shook her self of. As she tried to calm her self, she looked up at the night sky. Seeing twinkling star and the big moon a smile spread across her face. ”I know you are one of them Shadestar. Make me proud in up there” Refusing to go back to bed in case of that nightmare. She watched the sun rise with a smile on her face. Her lack sleep meant she could see something as beautiful as the sun rise.
